A customer transporting temperature-controlled goods on the US-Israel trade lane asked for a quote for fast delivery via Lufthansa.<\/p>\n
The requirement was to import the shipment within 48 hours.<\/p>\n
Despite careful planning of the complex transport route that includes different modes of transport and storage in temperature-controlled warehouses, an anomaly of the temperature at the predefined limit was displayed.<\/p>\n
The path was examined by the DSV Pharma Manager, using the risk management system for temperature-controlled deliveries.<\/p>\n
The report showed that these shipments that had stopped for less than 9 hours at Frankfurt Airport, had a temperature deviation.<\/p>\n
These shipments were not transferred to a temperature-controlled warehouse and were waiting in a regular warehouse until their next flight.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, cargo that was waiting more than 9 hours between flights was transferred to a controlled warehouse until the flight to Israel.<\/p>\n
This information allowed us to help the customer make a better route plan that will be more accurate, and which will improve the quality of transport and prevent the recurring temperature deviations despite his first requirement for the time frame.<\/p>\n
