Here are the updates as of today 24th December 2023:<\/p>\n

Ocean Freight<\/u><\/strong>
\nThe Majority of the shipping lines updated that the transportation strategy from the East changes from sailing to sailing. (The official announcements of the shipping companies are attached below).<\/p>\n

For companies that circumnavigate Africa, the additional time for transportation through the “Cape of Good Hope” (bypass of Africa) is about 18 days, and for those that having transshipments in European Countries , the additional time is about 25 days.<\/p>\n

The effect of a detour through the “Cape of Good Hope” is mainly on the availability of vessels, \u00a0which directly affects an (artificial) increase in demand, the decrease in vessels, affects most of the lines and shipping lines on a global level.<\/p>\n

The effect on the costs currently, is reflected mainly on the lines from the East \u2013 Shipping lines that are calling Israel ports, the cost of transportation increased by 350% higher (compared to the price before the war).<\/p>\n

New surcharges added : Peak season levy (PSS- PEACK SEASON) started to be published by several shipping lines, emission levy NEF emissions fee, some shipping lines charge contingency levy from India and Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Information that are published so far:<\/p>\n

ZIM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Direct sailing from the Fareast to Israel & from Israel , will not sail through the Red Sea, circumnavigate Africa , and extend the sailing route by 20 days.
\nThe total sailing time is about 45 days from the main ports in the Fareast.
\n**In addition, ZIM announced the suspension of their service from India to Israel.<\/p>\n

MAERSK + MSC+ ONE<\/strong>
\nThe route from the Fareast to Israel will be transshipped via European Countries , the additional arrival time to Israel is about 25 days.
\nTotal sailing days about 50 to 55 days.<\/p>\n

YML<\/strong>
\nEvery voyage is re-examined.
\nThey accept booking on vessels to Israel on voyages that circumnavigate Africa, extra transit time about 25 days ( while using code sharing vessels – transshipments service).<\/p>\n

EVERGREEN \/ HAPAG LLOYD \/ COSCO\/OOCL<\/strong>
\nsuspended its services from the Fareast to Israel until further notice.
\nThe updates received from the shipping lines, keep changing on daily basic.<\/p>\n

DSV customer service teams are here to support and provide the best options.
\n**Despite the situation DSV has solutions from the Fareast that combine transport by sea to the port of Jebel Ali in Dubai and from there continue by truck to cross the Jordan at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge.<\/p>\n
