Dear Customers, 

Below is an updated daily status report regarding the activity of the supply chain in Israel, derived from the regional security situation.

Flights to and from Israel are operated by Israeli carriers; therefore, cargo capacity is limited and prices are high.
Using rescue flights adds capacity and gradually shortens transit times.
In addition, cooperation with foreign airlines and charter flights improves the variety of solutions and connectivity to/from major global destinations.

Latest Updates

  • EL AL – Starting 22/03/26: cargo uplift allowed on EL AL rescue flights for import/export to New York, London, Bangkok, Miami, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Phuket (excluding DG).
  • Trucking carriers – Fuel surcharge increased by 18% in Europe and the USA.
  • CAL – Increased import surcharges starting 23/03.
  • Ocean carriers – Implemented war-related surcharges for import/export  – link attached.
  • Arkia – Operating wide‑body aircraft up to 1.60 m height to JFK with further connections via United.
  • United – Export to ORD on 29/03/26 up to 3.0 m height; onward connections to all USA destinations up to 2.40 m height. Cargo uplift allowed to South America and Australia destinations up to 1.60 m height.

USA
EL AL – Starting 22.03.2026, cargo uplift on rescue flights to/from Israel — New York, Miami, Los Angeles. Priority for backlogged cargo. No DG.
CAL – Daily freighter flights with high load due to cancellations by foreign airlines.

Europe
CAL – Daily freighter into/from Israel  –   Liège
EL AL –  freighters into/from Israel  737 FRA / ATH / LGG / MXP
London: Starting 22.03.2026, general cargo uplift on rescue flights to/from Israel, priority for backlogged cargo. No DG.

Far East
CAL – Operating flights from several countries via Hong Kong but experiencing heavy congestion on flights to Israel.
EL AL – Starting 22.03.2026, cargo uplift on rescue flights to/from Israel — Bangkok/Tokyo/Phuket. Priority for backlogged cargo; no DG.

International Connectivity
Air Canada – Operating cargo flights to Athens (1.60 m height) with connections to all AC destinations: Canada, USA, South America, Australia.
Silkway + United – Cargo flights to HHN on Tue/Sat + direct connections to the entire Silkway network. 747 flights up to 3 m on 23/03/2026 and 28/03/2026.
United – Passenger flights up to 1.60 m to all destinations + connectivity via Athens (EL AL).
American Airlines – Connectivity from London via EL AL to destinations in the USA, Canada, and South America.

Land Border Crossings (Emergency Mode)
Jordan River – Open.
Allenby – Open.
Aqaba – Open.
Nitzana – 22–23/03: Open for outbound cargo and maintenance only; 24/03 — returning to full operations.

Israeli Customs
Operating fully electronically.

Ocean ports
Operating at full capacity but with restrictions on the handling of dangerous goods.

Dangerous Goods
• DG handling restrictions at ports per regulations. Link attached to announcements dated 28/02/26 and 11/02/26
• Any loading/shipment of DG — even approved UN codes — requires prior approval from the shipping line.
