The global supply chain is undergoing a transformation and some of the most significant processes is moving to paperless supply chain.

One of the major challenges that exists in using physical paperwork is in releasing cargo with LC (a letter of credit – also known as a documentary credit, is a document issued by a person or commercial entity as an irrevocable obligation to pay the other party the value of the goods).

To release cargo with LC, the paperwork is required to go through several entities including the bank that allows the credit.
